At THE HOG, we love bacon! And thanks to you, BACONFEST MKE presented by Potawatomi Bingo Casino was a terrific celebration of all things bacon (except Kevin Bacon).
Sunday, February 26th at the Harley-Davidson Museum was an afternoon filled with bacon cooking demos, bacon products and most importantly… bacon eating!
1,000 hungry HOG Heads sampled unique bacon creations along with some classic favorites prepared by Southeast Wisconsin’s best chefs and restaurants. BACONFEST MKE featured Wisconsin's own award-winning Nueske's Applewood Smoked Meats!
Plus, we had appearances by Bob & Brian, Mindy Novotny, Rock Girl Laura, THE HOG's House Band RECTIFIER and lots more!
We claimed a record by building the World's Largest Bacon, Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich!
It was constructed by the fine folks at O&H Danish Bakery, Patrick Cudahy, Motor at the HD Musuem, and the restaurants at Potawatomi.
Thanks to all the HOG Heads that ate a hunk by making a donation to benefit Hunger Task Force!
