Alterbridge
Wednesday, May 21st |
The Rave Thickheaded riffs unfold smoothly into elegiac, addictive choruses on Alter Bridge tracks, like their hit “Open Your Eyes.” After Creed’s dissolution, guitarist Mark Tremoni and drummer Scott Phillips tapped bassist Brian Marshall for a new incarnation of the band’s once spectacular rock presence. Previous Mayfield Four vocalist Myles Kennedy adeptly handles the vocal duties, shirking the melodrama of his predecessor in favor of vintage, hard rock-worthy wails.
Tickets are on sale now at the Rave Box Office and TheRave.com for $21.50 (fees may apply). Keep it on THE HOG to win tickets! click on the logo for more info |

Skid Row
Friday, May 23rd |
The Rave Rollicking, aggressive and confident, Skid Row was one of the last and hardest hair metal bands to hit the mainstream before grunge enveloped the rock scene in the early ‘90s, and were also the last of such bands to display originality. They slammed into the national scene in 1989 and have since remained relevant and engaging by continually updating their sound, offering a more modern approach with each album as they stay apprised of society’s continually-changing rock tastes.
Tickets go on sale Saturday (4/26) at 10am at all Ticketmasters and The Rave Box Office for $18 (fees may apply). Keep it on THE HOG to win tickets! click on the logo for more info

Iron Maiden
Wednesday, June 11th |
Allstate Arena- Chicago
Iron Maiden was one of the first groups to be classified as "British metal," along with Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and a host of other bands, set the rock scene for the '80s. Iron Maiden has always been an underground attraction; although failing to ever obtain any real media attention in the U.S. (critics claimed them to be Satanists due to their dark musical themes and their use of grim mascot "Eddie"), they still became well known throughout the world and have remained consistently popular throughout their career.

Tesla
Saturday, July 19th |
Waukesha County Fair Although Tesla emerged during the glory days of hair metal, they never completely fit the spirit of the times. They never indulged in the glammed-up excess that made cartoons out of many of their peers. Instead, Tesla's music was bluesy, no-frills, '70s-style hard rock; it concentrated more on solid musicianship than enormous, arena-ready choruses (or hairdos), and it had a noticeable grit. Reserved Tickets are on sale now for $16 (fair ticket included).
General admission to Miller Lite Main Stage shows is FREE with a general admission ticket into Waukesha County Fair. click on the logo for more info |
